Founded in the 1980s as the Acton Business Association, the Chamber now serves the communities of Acton, Boxborough, Carlisle, Concord, Littleton, Maynard, Stow, and Westford. We are committed to supporting the voices of local businesses and initiatives that will improve and strengthen the overall economic development of our region.
Not just a networking organization, the Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce serves the community in several ways:
We understand that our communities do well with a thoughtful approach to economic development. Our voice as community leaders helps champion changes that positively impact areas important to any business. Collaborating with towns, representatives, and our local senators, we strive to actively participate in the conversation and support our local community through our programming.
Our members sincerely care about being a part of a community beyond their storefronts and offices. They realize that any business or organization’s growth depends on the relationships and partnerships built outside their organization. Affectionately called “the we got your back chamber” by our members, we all come together to support and lift each other up, knowing that when we thrive, it impacts every aspect of our communities.
Are you looking for a community that genuinely cares about you, your business, your employees, and your success? In that case, we’d love to have you join us.
The Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce is a 501(c)6 non-profit organization, that is committed to supporting the voices of local businesses and initiatives that will improve and strengthen the overall economic development in our region.
While starting a business can seem pretty simple, most successful business owners will tell you that building relationships in your local community is one of the best ways to ensure the longevity of your business. While technology has made it easier for us to meet virtually, to find places to do business, networking and referral marketing is still one of the best ways to get the word out about your business. Why? When people hear from their friends and family that someone had a great experience with your business, they are more likely to do business with you. The Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce is one way a business can build strong relationships in their area. We are happy to meet with you and learn about your ideal customer so we can make sure we are looking for opportunities to introduce you to the right potential clients or connections to move you business forward.
As a chamber our goal is to provide programming that will help our members grow and thrive in their businesses. We do this by partnering with town Economic Development Departments, the Small Business Development Center, ActonTv, and by sharing knowledge with each other through lunch and learns, panel discussions, mastermind groups, and other events. If you’d like to contribute or have a great idea please reach out, we’d be happy to collaborate with you.
All of our active members have the ability to list their business in our Member Directory or Member Information Center. Profiles can be public facing and offer an extra way to increase your visibility. We always recommend providing your website and sharing any important press releases or blog posts through this directory as it will also help boost your ranking on Google.
One of the best ways to be active in an organization is to hold a position on the board, become an ambassador or committee member. We are always looking for members who are truly passionate about the mission of the Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce and are looking to volunteer their time to helping us grow our community. If you’d like to learn more about these opportunities please email info@mwcoc.com.
Many company have a budget for giving or charity funds. Social capital, giving to others, is one of the best ways to grow your business and increase your brand awareness. Not only does giving help another organization, but there are intangible positive benefits to the giver. When I meet people who are new to networking, I always share that it is better to give more than you receive. This may seem counterintuitive but in the end, it does come back around.
The Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce has a wide array of opportunities for giving through yearly partner & sponsorships, event specific giving, raffles, and sponsors, and monthly advertising opportunities.
We are always looking for collaborations, please reach out if you’d like to work together, info@mwcoc.com.
