Shawn Linehan

2009-2010 President of the Board of Directors (2 Year Term)

Shawn is the Assistant Vice President of Workers' Credit Union in Acton.

He has held this position with Workers' Credit Union since March 2003. His professional experience includes more than 17 years with BankBoston as Vice President Area Manager. In addition to taking courses at American Institute of Banking, he has a BA degree from Northern Essex Community College.

Shawn has been on the School Business Partnership Committee for the past 5 years.  For the past 3 years, he has taught a five-week class on the history of money to the 6th graders at Douglas Elementary School in Acton.  The program is called "Money Makes Cents."  Two years ago, Workers' Credit Union opened up a branch at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School, where Shawn assists with WCU's FITT Program.  The FITT program is offered to Juniors and Seniors and teaches these young adults invaluable lessons on the wise use of credit cards, building a strong credit history, identity theft, how to get the best car deal, as well as a real life budgeting course.

He is also active with Minuteman Senior Service and sits on their advisory board.  Shawn is in his 4th year as chair of the Awards Dinner Committee and volunteers at the Chamber's Oktoberfest 5K.

In his free time, he enjoys traveling, motorcycle riding and spending time at his home on Cape Cod.
