The Middlesex West Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to invite you to showcase your establishment at the Chamber’s Taste of Middlesex!

REGISTRATION FEES:

Chamber Member Business: FREE + $15 Gift Certificate

For vendors who are already MWCOC Chamber members, participation in the Taste of Middlesex is FREE, other than a $15 Gift Certificate. How great!

Non-Member Business: $100* + $15 Gift Certificate

*$100 Participation Fee is non-refundable.$100 Participation Fee can be applied towards Chamber membership if business joins the Chamber within 3 months after the Taste. Join the Chamber before the Taste of Middlesex and your booth is FREE. How great is that!

 Dear Vendors:

Peoples Choice Award

With an anticipated attendance of 800+, the People’s Choice Awards will be a popular feature of the event. Guests will vote on who is the “best of the best” in Middlesex in the following categories: Best Appetizer, Best Entrée, Best Dessert, Best Beverage and Best Presentation. Also, a description of each vendor will be featured in the Taste of Middlesex Program Book. Please note that a portion of the proceeds from the Taste of Middlesex will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

A great way to reinforce your brand and heighten your visibility to the Middlesex region is to be a sponsor of the Taste of Middlesex. Sponsorships include substantial benefits. Or you should consider advertising in the Program Book so people take extra notice. Please refer to the Sponsorship and Advertising page.

We encourage you to donate a Raffle item as it is a great way to raise your business’ visibility at this spectacular event. Please mail or drop off your raffle item to the Chamber Office by Tuesday, November 1.

As a participant in the Taste of Middlesex, you can anticipate the Chamber providing:

  • 8 ft. Table
  • White Linen Tablecloth
  • Forks, Knives and Spoons
  • Small Paper Plates / Bowls
  • Paper Napkins
  • Bottled Water / Ice

Vendors provide the food, wine, or beer and the proper serving utensils.

Please note that there will be NO Open Flame allowed. Sterno will be allowed (gel Sterno preferred). Paper decorations must be flame-retardant. NO confetti is allowed. The Westford Fire Department will do a walk through inspection of the Westford Regency Ballroom the day of the event. We encourage use of Sterno where applicable as electrical accommodations are limited to those with booths along the walls of the Ballroom. (heavy duty extension cords must be used). Any questions, please let us know in advance.

Due to the large number of attendees at this event, we will limit the number of staff on hand to one or two in front of your booth and all other staff will be required to remain inside your booth space.

The Westford Board of Health requires each vendor to apply for a one-day temporary food permit to serve food off-site. Application and payment of the temporary food permit can easily be completed online at https://permits.westfordma.gov. The deadline for applying for the permit is Tuesday, November 1. The Westford Board of Health will do an inspection on November 15.

 Booth Assignments

Booth assignments will be granted on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED basis. It is strongly recommended that you send in your Vendor Registration and Participation Fee early. We will do our best to accommodate one of your choices. Please note: We will attempt to space out the restaurants to accommodate the number of attendees.

 Vendor Logistics & Tips

Set-Up & Registration

You may set up your booth 1:00-4:00 pm on the day of the event. Volunteers will be at the event set-up to provide you with your booth assignment. Make sure to bring all needed supplies, such as extension cords and tape to secure all cords.

People’s Choice AwardsPeoples Choice Award

The People’s Choice Awards will be presented for the Best Appetizer, Beverage Entrée, Best Dessert, Best Beverage and Best Presentation. Our guests will vote for the “best of the best” in each category. The winners will be publicized in press releases and ads after the event which provides even more increased visibility and name recognition for the award winners! The appearance of your booth enhances the experience of our guests and your potential customers. Create a memorable presentation that impresses!

Temporary Food Permit Application

Here are answers to some application questions:

Location of Handwashing Facilities: Regency Kitchen or Bathrooms located nearest to Ballroom

MWCOC “Giving Back”

A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the American Cancer Society, which is a Middlesex West Chamber member.

Promoting Your Brand

Along with decorating your booth and your team, don’t forget to bring menus, coupons, aprons, hats and shirts, etc. to promote your business.

Break Down

Break down of booths will not begin until after 8:00 pm. Your booth must be staffed until 8:00 pm.

Taste of Middlesex Raffle Items

All vendors are strongly encouraged to donate an item for the Taste of Middlesex Raffle. Raffle items are due to the Chamber Office, 179 Great Road, Suite 104B, Acton by November 1.

Electrical Considerations

Heavy duty extension cords are required of all vendors using electrical accommodations. There is a $20 electrical charge payable to the Westford Regency for vendors using electricity.

Flame Considerations

NO Open Flame will be allowed. NO confetti will be allowed. Use of Sterno (gel Sterno preferred) is encouraged. Westford Fire Department will do a walk-through inspection on 11/15.
